FAQ
How many hours a day should the aquarium lights be turn on?
The aquarium should receive an optimal light radiation for at least 8-10 hours a day, in order to reproduce a perfect day-night rhythm. The quality and the quantity of light are important. An excessive irradiance would be harmful to animals and lead to an abnormal growth of algae on the glass walls. In case of scarce growth of plants we may reach up to 12 hours a day of light. Alternatively, if green algae become abundant, we can light the tank only for 6 hours a day. Lights must be turn on every morning and turn off every evening.
